Why do some credit accounts show up on one of my credit reports but not the others?

The credit reporting in this country is largely voluntary. That means that lenders can chose which credit reporting agencies they want to report their accounts to. They don’t have to report their accounts to any of them, or they can report their accounts to all three. It’s completely up to them. It is very likely that you have an account with a lender that doesn’t report to all three credit reporting agencies.
