Happy New Year! It's 2007 and time to set up your resolutions for the next 12 months. Along with goals like organizing your closets, going to the gym and learning a new language, you should add a financial resolution to your list.

No matter where you stand, there is a financial resolution that fits with your situation. If you are struggling with you finances, make it a goal to get out of debt, stick to a monthly spending plan or improve your credit scores. My resolution is to start some kind of savings for my daughter’s college career. To assist me I have been reading a very helpful book called Women, Get Answers About Your Money by Carolyn Castleberry. It’s given me some great ideas on how to achieve this resolution.
