by Credit.com on 06/19/2009

Summer is finally here and Credit.com is starting it off with some summertime financial fun and prizes!  For one week, we’re hosting a summer giveaway contest where you can participate and take home a prize! All you have to do is answer our daily contest question correctly for your chance to win. We’ll even provide a hint to help you find the right answer!

The contest is simple.  Starting on Monday, June 22, we'll tweet a credit/finance question on Twitter each morning at 9am EST and give our followers until 8pm EST to reply with the correct answer. If you answer the question correctly, your name will go into a drawing each day where you have a chance to win one of these great prizes:

  • A FREE Score Power report provided by Equifax. Includes your credit report and FICO score.

  • A FREE Score Power report by myFICO. Includes your credit report and FICO score.
  • FREE Credit Monitoring service provided by TransUnion. Includes unlimited access to your TransUnion credit report and score with daily monitoring – good for 12 months!

Grand Prize:
And that’s not all!  At the end of the week, we’ll include everyone who participates in a grand prize drawing where one lucky winner will win a $100 Visa gift card!

To play, you’ll need to do the following:

1. Follow us on Twitter/CreditExperts.
2. Watch each day for a new contest question.
3. Tweet the correct answer to @creditexperts before 8pm EST for your daily chance to win!

Remember: if you don't already have a Twitter account, it's free to set one up! Winner must be in the US.

Good Luck!

Hi – I’m answering today’s contest question! No, a debt collector CANNOT threaten to arrest you if you refuse to pay a debt!
Love the contest!

Agreed – According to the fair debt collections practices act, it’s illegal for a collector to tell you that you’ll go to jail if you don’t pay the debt.
