Consumer Alert: Consumer Financial Loan Guarantee

Credit.com has recently tracked an increased number of consumer complaints related to Consumer Financial loan list products.

To the best of our knowledge, Consumer Financial publishes, distributes and sells a “guaranteed approval” lender reference book. Primarily advertised in the central and southern United States through Penny Saver mailings, the loan list book retails for $59 to $79 dollars.

Consumer Financial claims to guarantee customer loan approval; stating that the lender will refund the cost of the book if the application is denied. Without our authorization or approval, Credit.com is listed in the book along with other lender contacts.

Credit.com is not a direct lender. We do not guarantee loan approval and do not charge fees for loan applications. Each application we receive is reviewed and matched with a qualified lender. Only the final lender can make underwriting decisions to approve or deny a loan request.

If you have purchased a Consumer Financial publication, please be advised that Credit.com is in no way affiliated with this service. Credit.com did not authorize any statements made by Consumer Financial. We have attempted unsuccessfully several times to have our business name removed from the publication.

For more information about Consumer Financial, please read the Better Business Bureau reliability report for the Texas-based company. If you have questions about Consumer Financial, please feel free to email our customer service department at cs@credit.com.
