Humana helps baby boomers navigate retirement
Baby boomers who are worried about navigating retirement can now get free online advice - and a free book, Retirement for Dummies® - courtesy of Humana Inc., one of the nation's largest publicly traded health and supplemental benefits companies. The book is available in hard copy or via digital download.
The free book is offered through a new online community, RealForMe.com, aimed at helping baby boomers get the best out of retirement. RealforMe.com features tips on topics such as money, travel, family issues, and health. The website has four sections: Work, Self, Family, and Play. Each one features expert content, a blog, links, and resources from industry leaders on retirement topics. While the website (and free book) are available to anyone, the tools are designed especially for baby boomers. Job seekers, for example, can use a search engine powered by Retirementjobs.com to identify jobs that may be available to older workers. A social networking component that includes discussion boards on topics from home business to fitness is also available. RealforMe.com also includes:
In describing the RealForMe program, Jim Murray, Humana’s chief operating officer, says that "Baby Boomers, in particular, are hungry for guidance right now as they enter the unchartered world of retirement in uncertain times. That’s the inspiration behind the REAL program." "We’ve tried to assemble all the information and interaction boomers will need in one convenient place and we are committed to regularly enhancing our site to meet their changing needs,” he added. “It’s our hope that this information might guide boomers to a healthier lifestyle, prepare them for choosing the right health plan, or give them an idea of how much savings they’ll need for retirement." |
