Credit.com Announces "The Best Credit Cards in America"
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - April 13, 2011 - Credit.com, a leading consumer education and financial resource website, is proud to announce the first installment of a new best in class series called “The Best Credit Cards in America.”
"The Best Credit Cards in America" designation is the brainchild of nationally recognized credit card expert Beverly Blair Harzog, and is designed to give users a quick reference to the most “consumer friendly” cards in the marketplace. Cards are rated based upon a unique formula comprised of 41 separate metrics that compare the cards’ costs and benefits.
"While in life you never get a second chance to make a first impression, in the world of credit cards, a misimpression based upon misunderstood—or simply missed—fine print can be frustrating and costly," says Adam Levin, Chairman and Co-Founder of Credit.com. "Beverly has an encyclopedic knowledge of the space and a better understanding of credit card terminology than the majority of industry attorneys who craft it. At Credit.com we understand that most consumers view credit-speak as a foreign language. I can think of no one better qualified to be their interpreter than Beverly Harzog."
Harzog will regularly examine a variety of credit card categories and designate the best cards within that group. In this first installment, we are giving awards for the Best Cash Back Card and the Best Travel Rewards Card.
"Often, when you look at the details, the cost of the card outweighs highly touted rewards,” says Harzog. “The fine print is never easy to read but that’s where the true value of the card is revealed. So having a fabulous rewards program isn’t enough to win this award. The winner is the card that offers the best combination of rewards and lowest cost to the consumer."
