Expert Review:
Like many other secured credit cards, the Public Savings Secured Visa Credit Card offers easy approval and reports your progress to all three credit bureaus. However, the Public Savings card has a number of unique features no secured card can match. It offers a 0% introductory APR for 6 months. This combined with an interest rate that beats most prime cards and no annual fee makes the Public Savings card the best among secured credit cards. The minimum deposit required to open an account is $300.

Not many secured cards offer a free airline ticket upon approval. But the Applied Bank National Secured Visa Credit Card does! Like all secured credit cards, it requires a deposit which will equal its credit limit. The deposit must be at least $200 but can be as high as $5,000. When the account switches to being unsecured or is closed, you'll receive your deposit. There are no credit or income requirements, so it is ideal for those with bad, very bad or no credit. This credit card has an APR lower than many other traditional credit cards. There is an annual fee of $50 but there are no activation or set-up fees.
