Are Medical Bills Ruining Your Credit?

Nicholas Newsad, author of The Medical Bill Survival Guide and senior analyst of a national Surgery-center-chain, tells us how to deal with medical debt nightmares—what to do if you can’t pay, and how to head off problems before they arise. Tom Quinn, Credit.com’s credit scoring expert, joins us to talk about what to do when you’re already in collections or thinking about filing bankruptcy on your medical bills. He also sheds some light on how these debts affect your credit score.
